Refrigeration

New Cosmos – BIE has some unique products specially designed for the Refrigeration / HVAC industry.

Typical gases in the refrigeration market are next to the Freons, CO2, NH3 and Propane.

Ammonia (NH3)

For Ammonia the point of measurement is near the ceiling of your engine room as NH3 is lighter than air. Most hotwire semiconductor NH3 sensors in the market also respond to Hydrogen. This is an issue if you also use electric forklift trucks in your cold storage facility because during charging of the batteries these produce hydrogen. Electrochemical sensors are a better choise for this application. Down site of these sensors is that they need more frequent replacement as the lifetime is shorter. As the sensors are very often mounted near the ceiling at 4 to 6 meters hight, this is not an easy job to replace them. Therefore New Cosmos - BIE is using a sampling detectors like the PS-7 for NH3. These are mointed at an easy to maintain spot in or outside the engine room, where tubing is taking the sample from near the ceiling. In this way you get the best solution with the lowest cost of ownership.

Leak detection

When you have detected a leak, it is important that you find the leak spot as soon as possible. With the XP-704III, it is easy. This light weight portable detector can easily find the leak spot in airconditioning units or at your cold storage plant.

Why New Cosmos?

As a manufacturer of gas sensors and detectors, New Cosmos – BIE is in complete control of the performance of the detectors. With more than 60 years of experience in many industries we understand your needs. As a partner for many years to most of our customers we take responsibility and work closely together with our customers to get the best safety solution for gas detection. With technical support and preventive maintenance support we help our customers getting the best safety results from their gas detection system. Solution driven, flexibility and customer support are key drivers at New Cosmos – BIE.

Unique detection for speciality gases

At New Cosmos – BIE we understand what detecting of speciality gases means. Over 60 years of experience in the Semiconductor market has given us unique understanding in the detection of speciality gases and applications. Next to detecting these speciality gases, the understanding of cross sensitivity issues in this market is very important. Detecting TEOS or CO without interference of IPA is what we deliver. Hydride sensors that do not respond to Hydrogen is also unique. But also, in other markets we deliver. Detecting Hydrogen without interference to Methane or vice versa is part of our solutions. As a manufacturer of gas sensors and detectors we understand your needs. View our speciality gases page and see where we can be of benefit to you.
