Can you connect a New Cosmos – BIE gas detection system to other systems?
Answer:
It depends on the configuration of your system.
The easiest way, which works in 95% of the situations, is to use the 4-20mA output signal of the New Cosmos – BIE detectors. Nearly all alarm systems have an input for this type of signal.
Another very basic method of linking a New Cosmos – BIE detector to another system is to use the signal from potential free output contacts, which are for example optional on the SH-WAD gas detection units. Sometimes links to building fire detection systems are made in this way.
Integration into bus line systems is also possible. However more information will be required to see if a reliable link can be made.
